Bonding procedures that perform reliably in permanent teeth can be less predictable when applied to primary teeth. Many clinicians experience frustrations such as early sealant loss, marginal breakdown of pediatric restorations, and bonding failures that seem difficult to explain. Differences in enamel structure, dentin composition, and the clinical conditions commonly encountered in pediatric dentistry create unique challenges for achieving durable adhesion. As a result, clinicians often face issues such as reduced sealant retention, restoration failure, and sensitivity to moisture contamination during pediatric bonding procedures.
This CE webinar examines the structural and chemical differences between primary and permanent teeth and how those differences influence adhesive performance. Participants will review the science behind enamel etching, dentin bonding, and hybrid layer formation in primary teeth, along with practical strategies to improve bond reliability in everyday pediatric practice. The webinar will also explore common causes of bonding failure and practical techniques that help clinicians achieve more consistent outcomes. Real-world protocols will be discussed for managing moisture contamination, optimizing etch patterns, and selecting adhesive materials that support reliable bonding in young patients. Attendees will gain practical insights that can improve restoration longevity, enhance sealant retention, and reduce clinical frustration when bonding to primary teeth.

Musculoskeletal pain is nearly universal in dentistry but it doesn’t have to be. In this CE webinar, we’ll break down the top ergonomic mistakes dental clinicians make every day, including forward head posture, shoulder strain, twisting, reaching, and poor patient positioning.
During this CE webinar, you’ll learn how operatory layout and equipment design can either contribute to these patterns or dramatically reduce them. Through real clinical examples, we’ll explore how proper chair positioning, delivery setup, lighting alignment, and movement strategies can support neutral posture and long-term career longevity.

Enhancing or restoring a smile with direct composite resins can be challenging. This CE webinar has been specially designed to present the most up-to-date protocols for direct anterior composite restorations employing simplified techniques to ensure consistent and predictable outcomes. You will gain insight into injectable composite, layered composite techniques for composite veneers and Class IV, the use of diagnostic mock-ups, and effective finishing and polishing techniques. You will understand how to incorporate long-lasting and tooth-like direct composite to your daily practice as a reliable alternative to ceramic while practicing minimally invasive dentistry.

Dental hygienists play a vital role in delivering preventive oral health care. In recent years, the number of CDT procedure codes related to preventive procedures and products has expanded significantly. Many hygienists may not be fully aware of ADA’s Current Dental Terminology (CDT) descriptors, which outline the rationale and mechanisms of action for these products. As more patients express concerns about fluoride use in caries management, they are turning to hygienists for alternative recommendations to protect against decay. Which products should you choose, and which CDT procedure codes apply? Similarly, hypersensitivity complaints are on the rise. Patients often report, “My teeth are sensitive when you touch them.” What products can you recommend chairside? Which can be sent home? And how do you document the appropriate CDT procedure code? This CE webinar also introduces ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes that will support the medical necessity of preventive and therapeutic procedures. With insurance carriers starting to require these diagnostic codes on the updated 2024 Dental Claim form (Box 34a), understanding how to integrate them into documentation is essential for accurate claim submission and compliance.

Zirconia and lithium disilicate (eMax and others) are the two most common direct restorative materials. Predictable long term cementation success is dependent on the proper pre-cementation treatment and understanding the different cement options available. As we currently do not have a universal it is important to understand the different cement options to make an informed decision. This CE webinar is designed to review the proper pre-cementation protocols and discuss the different cement categories to help the viewer create a workflow and thought process that will increase the predictability of their restorations.
The only constant in dental materials is change! Technological and chemical innovations are offering impressive advancements. Today’s conventional composites offer clinicians two options: First, the esthetic traditional layering technique and second, the bulk-fill technique. The former being the choice for most restorations in the anterior smile zone and the latter, often selected for the posterior regions of the mouth. While bulk-fill materials typically are deep-curing, time saving and offer clinical efficiency, they too often lack the esthetic properties required for beautiful esthetically demanding anterior restorations. For this reason, most clinicians have a second composite system in office that is designed to be placed in two-millimeter increments and will sometimes require a variety of shades to meet the esthetic demands. A new next-generation of resin composites is emerging. One that offers you the clinical efficiency of a bulk-fill, with an easy cluster shade-matching protocol and phenomenal esthetics! With outstanding, non-sticky handling and excellent polishability, perhaps now you only need one class of material for all of your restorative needs. At the conclusion of the CE webinar the attendees will have a clearer understanding of the clinical impact that this new chemistry and technology can have on their everyday restorative dentistry. More importantly, the attendees can evaluate if these evolutions may have a place in their own clinical practice.
Composite restorations are the foundation of modern dentistry, but achieving consistent esthetics, strength, and efficiency remains a daily challenge. This one-hour CE webinar will explore the science behind bulk universal composites and provide practical clinical techniques for anterior and posterior restorations. Participants will gain confidence in handling, shade selection, and finishing strategies to maximize outcomes and efficiency in practice.

Most of us have started using zirconia as a material for our indirect restorations. We either mill it chairside or send it out to the lab to be fabricated. Either way we need to make sure that our technique is perfect when delivering it to the tooth, especially if we are working with a non-retentive prep. If we need to rely on adhesion, we have to understand the nuances of bonding zirconia to tooth structure. To tell us all about it is our guest Dr. Alex Vasserman. Dr Vasserman is a respected clinician running his own practice on the Upper East side of Manhattan.
